Maria Tran is a Vietnamese-Australian actress, martial artist, and filmmaker known for her bold, high-impact performances across stage and screen. She gained recognition for her comedic role as Trans Phat in the SBS series Street Smart and for her award-winning work in Hit Girls and Roger Corman’s China-set action feature Fist of the Dragon.
She was named Breakout Female Performer at the 2013 International Action on Film Festival and Female Action Performer of the Year at MartialCon in 2016. Maria’s screen debut came as Mai Le in the Logie-winning children’s series My Place, and she later appeared in the Vietnamese box office hit Tracer (Truy Sát).
From 2019 to 2021, she starred as the nunchuck-wielding "Suzie" in Fat Pizza: Back In Business, and in 2022—just five months after relocating to the U.S.—she landed her breakout U.S. role as Madame Tien in Paramount’s 10-episode crime drama Last King of the Cross, alongside Tim Roth.
